SCHENKEL--Stephen, 75, Emmy nominated television writer, producer and network executive died peacefully. Mr. Schenkel earned his reputation as a creative force and innovator by producing "All My Children," "Another World," and "Edge of Night." Co-Creator/Creative Consultant on "Ryan's Hope" and "ABC After School Specials." A Columbia University grad, Mr. Schenkel served as an executive at NBC, CBS, ABC and Benton & Bowles. He developed and produced a full spectrum of entertainment (variety, mini-series, game) programs and Discovery Channel documentaries. Stephen married his beloved Penny Bergman in 1990 after meeting her on the set of "All My Children." For both, it was a marriage made in soap opera heaven. Survivors include the families of Ellen and Cantor Tyrone Bauer, Bergman and Gottlieb in-laws.
