I knew Ivan briefly "from the other side of the bridge table"...he was a gentleman and a formidable opponent. He will be missed.

Dear Joan and Family:

My heartfelt condolences. It was wonderful to reconnect with Ivan and you at our 50th reunion from Cooper and to spend some quality time with Ivan at several of our Class of '63 lunch reunions.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of a very close colleague from our days at Cooper Union. Cooper Union was such a small school we knew one another in a way not usually possible, so when one of us departs it is always personal.

Sad to hear the news. My sympathies to the family. Ivan and I were classmates during four years at Cooper Union, and I have such fond memories of our time there. I enjoyed seeing him again for the first time in 50 years at our class reunion.
