I mourn your passing, dear friend, and you will be missed. I cherish the laughter we shared from mutually offbeat senses of humor, especially when together at the University of Scranton's radio station, WUSR Scranton. You taught me much and, for myself, you will remain the wit in Jesuit. My deepest condolences to your siblings and fellow priests.
Dear in the eyes of the LORD
is the death of his devoted.

So sorry to hear of passing of Father Sable. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed working with him and we stayed in touched after we both left the University. I always received a joke in the closing of each letter. Rest in peace Father and may God Bless you always.

My tenure at the University was richly colored by my friendship with Father Tom Sable. We shared so many interests related to Eastern Christian studies and art history. And, I treasure the time I was able to spend with him when he participated in one of my summer travel seminars to Italy. My life is richer for having known him and I shall miss him dearly. Ave atque Vale, Tom! Josephine Dunn (University of Scranton)

To the family of Fr. Thomas Sable:
I was deeply saddened to learn of Fr. Sable's passing. I considered him a dear friend who always made my day on campus much brighter with his kindness and sense of humor. Knowing he loved his coffee I brought him samples to try from different trips and just loved chatting with him whenever we met. We have lost a very caring and loving friend. May he rest in peace and continue to shine his light through our warm memories of his generous spirit.
My sincere sympathy to the family,
Marie Karam (Dept. of World Languages)
