It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Diana Kan-Schwartz. In the early 1960's my husband and I were at the Village Art Show and purchased 5 of her paintings. They are a constant reminder of her wonderful artistic talent.

The last thing I did before moving to the Midwest was go to one of Diana's openings in the Village with Fran. Her work was spectacular- breath taking. Even then she took a moment for me, being married into the family, through Jerry. We tried to see her in March, to introduce Anna to her. Her art lives on in our house - and she lives in our hearts.

Aunt Diana has always had a place in my heart. Her inner beauty and profound wisdom touched my soul when I was young, as the love continued to grow throughout my life. The love was only surpassed by the deepest respect one could have for another. I will always remember both.

She was my aunt; she was my treasure, she was God's gift to the world with her sensitive loving demeanor and her wonderful gift of communicating with her brush. She treated me with respect and support and I was lucky to share a tender moment of love with her. Diana, you will be missed.
