Dear Ann,
I cannot believe that I will not be seeing you again. It was so disappointing these last few months when I would call to say I would like to come and see you and you would reply ,"I am not yet up to it:. I realized sadly that you were fading.
I will always remember the Fall afternoon when I went over to take more photos of your garden for my book. The Japanese maples were in the full glory creating a burnished frame of red and gold for your beloved horses. You told me how much the garden meant to you, what a source of joy i was and how much you loved it. I cannot tell you how much that meant to me and is a memory I will always cherish.

I shall miss you very much dear Ann
With love

I had the great fortune to meet Ann in the capacity of editor of JCA Today to write the profile quoted in her obituary. What began as a work assignment soon turned into a life-changing event and a dear friendship that has spanned all the years since. I was touched then by her warmth, openness and self-effacing ways. She embraced me without knowing me, much as she held all of humanity in her arms, changing lives quietly behind the scenes one by one, in ways small and large. The only constant was her unfailing desire to do so privately without recognition and without any debt of gratitude. I will miss her presence in the world, for it truly is a lesser place without her. Most of all, I will miss her. Yet, when I glance upon the photo I took of her with Molly on that beautiful June day, I will always remember her smile and the beautiful spirit that gave it light.

Dear Ann,
Time passes so quickly and while we always think there will be more of it to share, sometimes it gets taken away much sooner than we ever anticipated.

Thank you for the decades of support you offered to Population Action International championing women throughout the world and honoring your own mother.

You will be sorely missed by so many. You shared so much with me personally that there is no way to thank you enough. We had the mutual love of sailing, so my wish for you is that your spirit sails on and I know I will feel your presence through gentle breezes that keep my sails full.

Thank you so much, you are missed. .

Dear Mrs. Bronfman; Now you are reunited with little Maggie and little Molly. Those of us left behind will miss you most vividly. Sweet Piper will be just fine. You were one of the most gracious, warm hearted women I have ever known. I shall ever strive to be as kind as you were. A philosopher once said that life and death are one even as the river and the sea are one. That although death should hide us and the greater silence enfold us, we go with the wind, but not to emptyness. That even though our memories dim and our voice fades, we will live on in the hearts of those we touched. Lady I think you touched many, many hearts. I will honor your name as long as I live. Be joyful with God in Heaven.

Ann was a once in a lifetime friend to my wife and family of which one could only dream of. She was like a mother to my wife and was so dedicated to her own family. She is greatly missed not only for her accomplishments but for her love of people and for the honorable way she treated each and every person. God Bless You Ann and may you rest in peace. Thank you for being in our familys life and for being such a wonderful person.
