FEUERLICHT--Herbert Alan, of New York City, died January 7th at age 83. He received a bachelor's degree from Cooper Union and a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University. He served as a Midshipman in the United States Navy ROTC. He was an artist, photographer, folk dancer and sculptor with many large commissioned sculptures displayed throughout the U.S. He taught sculpture at Yale, Cooper Union and City College. He traveled extensively across Eastern and Western Europe with his family. His wife, Roberta, died in 1991. He is survived by his son, Ira, daughter-in-law, Laura, and grandson, Sam, of Brooklyn. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 10th from 6-8pm at Beth Judah Memorial Chapel, 115 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Burial will be Friday, January 11th at 11am at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, New York. Charitable contributions in his memory may be made to Project Ezra or the Educational Alliance.
