Weren´t we all lucky to have worked and played with Sylvia. I remember especially her work helping to run the neighborhood homeless shelter. I often think of her energy and compassion.

It was an honor and a pleasure to know Sylvia who helped guide the Union Square Community Coalition during a difficult time. I personally, enjoyed her support for my public art projects and it was always fun to visit with Sylvia.

Sylvia was a continuing practical inspiration. Her work in the democratic party, as a leader of a homeless shelter, as a determined and progressive New Yorker.
