Dear David and Deborah's family, I am so incredibly sad to hear of Deborah's passing. I knew her at Dartmouth and at Stanford and always had the utmost admiration for her. She was a light, a ball of boundless energy, whip smart, so positive--just so on top of her game at all times. My heart breaks for all of you. You are in my thoughts.

Deb was always very thoughtful. Even in the midst of her battle with cancer this past January she was emailing me work introductions through her network. We both shared stories of our respective paths to later motherhood and I know that Asher's existence was a source of great joy and pride for her. I hope Asher can provide you, David, and Deb's parents some consolation as you move forward and that his love and vibrancy provides you all strength and comfort. Deb was so excited to meet him and share her life within a larger family.

Deborah was blessed with extraordinary skills, which she displayed both at Dartmouth and in her professional endeavors. She truly stood out, however, for her strength, her principles and the compassion and dignity with which she lived. My deepest condolences to Deborah's family and loved ones, especially David and their son.
