CAROL BLANK Obituary

BLANK--Carol, formerly Carol Bateman, 72, of Harlem passed away October 7, 2013. Born in Newark, NJ, Carol was a loving mother, talented artist, inspiring teacher, art curator, recreational specialist, sci-fi enthusiast, and devoted Buddhist (SGI-USA). A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Cultural Center, 3940 Broadway, NYC on October 26 at 2pm. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Martha and William Bateman, two brothers Walter and John Bateman, and her son Ladji Blank. She is survived by her two children Ravi and Radha Blank, their father Roger Blank, two brothers William and Charles Bateman, two grandsons Naseem and Qadir Blank, and a host of loving family and friends.
