FLAX--Kate, co-founder of Kate's Paperie, one of New York's premier paper and stationery stores, passed away peacefully on February 12, in the company of her loving family. Kate's unique spirit, zest for life, impeccable taste, and sparkling sense of humor were reflected in her business and shared with all who knew her. While she will be greatly missed, her charm, generosity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Kate is survived by her husband, Leonard; sons Lionel (Jill) and Lowell (Sarah); grandson William; and beloved sister, Margaret Hitchman. A service will be held Friday, February 21 at 10:30am at the Church of St. Thomas More, 65 East 89 Street, New York, NY 10128. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to a .
