WHITE--Arthur H. It is with profound regret and sadness that we announce the passing on August 25, 2014 of Arthur H. White who served with distinction on the Community Service Society's Board of Trustees from 1991 until his resignation in August 1998. Mr. White, an accomplished businessman, founder of Jobs for the Future and co-founder of Reading is Fundamental (RIF), left the CSS Board to accept an appointment to then-President Clinton's Federal Prison Industries Commission. A dedicated and resolute voice in support of enhancing education and job-training opportunities for working people and the unemployed, Mr. White played a pivotal role in CSS's growth and development as a preeminent anti-poverty organization. He will be missed as a friend and a mentor. David R. Jones, Esq. President & CEO Community Service Society
