ROSENBAUM--Judy, passed away peacefully in her home, as was her wish, on September 30th 2014. Her life was one of dedication to her mother, Dr. Bertha Rader, to her work, and to literature. She leaves behind wonderful children's stories and beautiful poems. Judy opened new paths in the world of literature to children and adults alike. She possessed a wealth of knowledge and could engage anyone in meaningful conversations on a myriad of topics, recalling even the smallest of details on everything, from fashion to sports. With her incredible memory, she was always generously ready to lend a helping hand, especially if it involved reading, writing, editing or researching. Always friendly and caring, Judy touched the hearts of everyone who met her. She leaves behind many friends including Zorka Hristova and Nina Argirova, in particular. Judy finally found her passageway to Narnia - may she reign there, happily, for eternity. We, on the other side of the wardrobe, will greatly miss her. Donations may be made to Books For Kids.

Judy was generally disappointed in my lack of appreciation of Brahms. During the last year my choral group has enjoyed singing both the gypsy songs and the Liebeslieder. It's been a joy to me to experience the incredible harmonies and rhythms of the Brahms choral repertoire. Judy, I'm evolving. Rest in Peace, dear friend.

5 years later and I still think of her when I am on GoldenSkate. Such an intelligent, compassionate, word-loving woman who was always the voice of reason. It seems odd that I never met her in person or even knew what she looked like as she was an online friend! Many on the GS site were quite shaken by her passing; a lierary corner of the site was set up in her honour. I envy those of you who were fortunate enough to know her personally.

I knew Judy ("Olympia") through Golden Skate, and she came across as an absolutely lovely woman. Although I only chatted with her a few times, I always enjoyed reading her posts.

I only wish I had taken the opportunity to get to know her better.

Judy was so enthusiatic about everything. She was very knowledgable, but also took a great interest in finding out new things.

Yet she was so unassuming and down to earth. So, I am sure she is up there in disbelief at how much we are missing her.

Judy, thank you for bringing so much joy to so many people, just by being you.

You will be greatly missed.

My thoughts are with Judy's family and friends.

Warm, wise, and gracious. A lover of words and language who used them beautifully, with never a hint of unkindness. The world was a nicer place because of Judy's presence in it and I am better for having "known" her, if only in a small way and only distantly.

Flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, dear "Olympia."

My heartfelt condolences to Judy's family and friends.
