Oh, sweet Tracy. How we love you and miss you in so many ways. Each change in the season brings a special thought of your love of nature in all of its wonderment. You were a special man and it is still hard to believe that you arent with us. Love, Patty

My favorite memory is when Tracy and my late dear friend Ruben Eshkanian would climb into an artistic bubble together - art so filled them with excitement. It was a privilege to listen to their enthusiasm.

When I see Tracy's handsome face, and recall his loving, delightfully funny ways, and think of his devotion to his wife, his mother and father, other family members, his friends, and his work as a sculptor, I'm reminded yet again of the valuable part Tracy played in the development, the lives and the imaginations of all who were (and remain) connected to him.

I remember playing hacky sac in 1979 at the gathering in Maine. We have assembled started spring and fall artist retreats in the Appalacian Mountains where I am working through my nonprofit conservation group to purchase 180,000 acres through Kentucky connecting Tennessee to Virginia. Tracy (and Susan) would have loved this event, covering and connecting most of their southern stomping grounds. I miss the opportunity to spend time with cousin Tracy and put him in touch with the southern artists helping with the art and nature connections.

Tracy and I went to school together in Bahia/Brazil. I have very happy memories from our times together then when we were young kids. Later we met again in New York a few times whenever I visited and had more good times together, even if they were brief. I then also met Susan and was thrilled for them that they were so happy together. I remember Tracy as always being filled with joy and compassion. He was a brilliant listener and had a kind heart. Tracy, thank you for your presence and friendship. Saudades.

Tracy and I are so close in age that he was my best friend when we were young...I used to go for extended visits to Rye and we always had a great time...But the best were in Maine...We would go on overnight canoe trips and camp out...We could talk all night about everything...I miss him sorely...Truly one of a kind..

Tracy was an amazing Uncle! Countless memories from short times together will always be around in my head. You taught me many great values. Your courage patience and kind heart are only a few of those values that I admired deeply. You will be missed but never forgotten! I love you Uncle T. -Jake aka Mosquito

Some years ago Tracy and I took a wonderful trip together to Australia. We traveled from Sydney to the Daintree Rain Forest in the north, and along the way took a six days trip on the Coral Princess, a small ship which prowled the Great Barrier Reef anchoring here and there at the best places to dive and marvel at the under water paradise. At a handsome six feet four inches, 170 pounds , and like a fish in the water, Tracy's modest self was soon popular among the 50 passengers. On the third day a person I had met introduced me to another passenger, not by my name, but as " Tracy's father". It soon became apparent that I was generally referred to as " Tracy's father".. Of all the different sobriquets which may have been applied to me during my life, "Tracy's father" is the one in which by far I take the most pride.

Tracy had an unwavering commitment to justice, an abiding love of the natural world, and a default attitude of kindness and generosity. And he was so smart and witty and fun to be with! I will always miss him.

Tracy was my first cousin, but always felt like a big brother to me. I always looked up to him - so smart, energetic, capable, creative, and passionate. It was always great fun and stimulating being around him. I'll miss him terribly, and always think of our times together with love in my heart.

I always looked forward to being with Tracy. He was at the top of my list of people I truly enjoyed hanging out with. We discussed adventures, nature, art, family and our passion for all things that make life worth living. With hands and arms moving in grand gestures with boyish excitement he exuded passion in spades. Memories of quiet dark evenings with a few of us chatting on the screened lodge porch overlooking Norcross Pond in Maine are priceless. Our reciprocal studio visits where we discussed painting and sculpture, exchanging ideas and ambitions, were very special times for me. I still catch myself disbelieving that his physical being is no longer with us and we will not talk again. Thanks T for being the kind, creative, interesting, bright and loving brother-in-law that you were. Love, Joseph

Tracy was a man of honor and courage. He lived his life to the fullest and had a way of inspiring others with his enthusiasm. He was a wonderful husband to my sister and a caring brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle to my family. He touched so many lives and will be truly missed by my family, who loved him dearly. We shared so many great times together and the loss of this smart, talented man will certainly leave a void in many of our lives.

It was a blessing to know and love my nephew, Tracy. He was not only an unusually talented sculptor, but a man who, loving language, in his younger years, also displayed a genius for journalism. Add to these abilities that he was an enthusiastic athlete, and a fine person, loyal and loving, kind, gracious, and fair-minded. Tracy was also delightful good company -- well-read. knowledgeable about the contemporary scene, smart, AND witty! I loved him very much, as did everyone who truly knew him. His absence is now a hole in our lives. I can only weep that he died in what can be termed middle age, a man still with great promise, a man who could have continued to make valuable contributions to the world. We will miss him and love him until that final day when our own suns set. Aunt Jane

I sit here admiring a beautiful day overlooking Puget Sound. Sailboats gently glide across indigo water. Eagles catch spiral updrafts. White clouds are overstuffed pillows. My thoughts turn to Tracy. I wish for a peaceful moment for his loved ones. My deepest sympathy to his precious family.
