Meneely, M.D., a psychiatrist in New York City died at her home December 2nd, age 83. A retired member of the faculty of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons she was associated with both Presbyterian and Harlem Hospitals and for many years was director of The Harlem Center for Child Study. She attended The Brearley School and was a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Columbia University P&S. She was a psychiatry consultant for various institutions including Prisoners Legal Services. She was the daughter of Clinton Blake and Eleanor Meneely Townsend. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Monroe Chasson and her daughters, Kate Chasson of Winter Park, CO and Sarah Chasson of Chevy Chase, MD, Frank G. Zarb, Jr, three grandchildren, and her brother Clinton (Bill) Townsend of Canaan, ME.
