I love to laugh and my aunt Winky never failed to do just that. She could make an ordinary time an extremely funny and over the top good time. It was impossible not to be entertained and totally into whatever she was talking about at the time.
One night we were in the back seat together driving home from a family cookout to the hotel our families were staying at to meet up with other family and friends. Denis was driving and my dad was in the front seat. It was night time so it was dark and little did Denis know, he couldn't have been more unlucky in the sense that we were not "direction" guys, An unfamiliar city at night and being lost was a problem for three of the four people in the car. Wink, however, took that moment to swipe the hanging clothes away from the window and say "don't you all love being lost, look at all the beautiful architecture" as she looked out over to the monuments and buildings of Washington D.C. She truly could make the best out of ANY situation.
I am going to miss her energy and her love for her family and friends. I will always laugh and think of my aunt when driving and get lost.

I knew "Winky" only in passing in high school. I respect and am grateful for the service of her extended family to this country. May she rest in peace. Tom BROUGHTON

My remembrance of the Casey family was when Gen. Casey was assigned to Ft. Leavenworth in '68-'69. I went to High School with Joan (Sr.) and Wink (Soph). They were quickly a hit at school as they dove into many activities. Mother (Elaine) Casey was a awesome house mom to the classmates at LHS. They opened their large home to many of us and we had great fun after games and on weekends. After graduation, the family left to spend the summer in Massachusetts and expected to return for the next school year. But, that didn't happen as Gen. Casey was assigned to Vietnam the summer of '69. The family remained on the east coast. Their clan made a lasting impression on many of us and it's very difficult to believe that sweet Wink is gone. God bless the Casey and Cullen families.

It is difficult to accept the sudden passing of Wink whose spirit and love of life and family was so evident. She brightened up any room when she entered it and her enthusiasm was natural. Our family and hers date back to childhood days at North Scituate, MA. and we mourn her loss with her family and the many friends who will miss this lovely lady.
