As a member of the Wenzelberg branch of the family tree, I am eternally grateful to Harvey for all the work he put into creating the family tree.

We spoke many times during the process...he left us a beautiful treasure to remember him by.

I am the daughter of Anne Wenzelberg and George Beck. I regret that I never posted a message here before. I never met Connie, but did know Harvey. We met several times and talked quite frequently about the family tree.

I am eternally grateful to him for having done all that work. Thanks to him, I could pass accurate detailed information along to my children, and now can do the same for my grandchildren.

I recently learned of Harvey's passing. My condolences to his family.

Harvey was a cousin - however, I met him for the first time in NYC about 20 years ago. Harvey was researching his genealogy, and got in touch with my mother, Carrie Greenwald Forster, who had been married to my dad, William Forster. My dad's mother, Minnie Rosenwasser, had a sister, as I remember, who was Harvey's grandmother.

I subsequently met Harvey a few times, mostly around Polish heritage, and genealogy matters. He seemed a lovely man, and I am sad that I never got to know him better. He certainly made an impact on Israel and Jewish affairs.

I see guest notes from names(of relations) I heard as I grew up: Krueger, Rosenwasser, Engelhardt, Krams. Now that I understand the importance of family, I wish I had met and known more of my cousins.

May Harvey rest in peace.

I have only today learned of the deaths of Harvey and Connie and feel a deep sense of loss. They have been a part of my life for many many years - and even if in more recent times we saw less of each other the friendship remained warm, strong and deep. I recall many happy get-togethers in both business and family spheres.

Harvey and Connie will be sorely missed, and on behalf of all my family I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to all their family.

I have just learned of your beloved father's passing and from that, of your beloved mother's as well. What a challenging year it must have been- to have lost both parents within months of each other.

My parents were great friends to yours- over decades of friendship- sharing tragedies and joys.

I will forever remember my meetings with them as well, especially going to the NYC coffee store, which they were so so proud of.

Usually, we would receive coffee grinds as holiday gifts.

My mother absolutely adored Connie. And I remember her loving the color Red. She was always dressed so fine and elegantly.

Your father was a GIANT and GENIUS and AMAZING person. There are just not enough words to offer to show the RESPECT he deserves.

What I find absolutely amazing about your dad was his complete generosity and ethic to help others, in particular Israel and the Jews.

He was a leader, an outstanding businessman, a dedicated father/husband, a total mensch, and an excellent model to all who knew him.

What a great loss.

May you feel that both your parents are sending signs from Above, guiding you, loving you, ...

May you find comfort in your love and in your memories and in the knowing that both your parents left enormous Legacies, making the world a better place for so, so many.

My condolences,
Family of Gordon Zacks,Z"L/RIP

A few, rare individuals pass through this world having made a valuable impact on those fortunate enough to have known them. Harvey Krueger was one of those people. Altruism and philanthropy were key to who Harvey was, and the world of Jewish genealogy was a major recipient of his generosity in innumerable ways.

Harvey always made time to meet and listen to new ideas, one of his most endearing qualities. When Neville Lamdan and I approached him with the idea of an academic institute for Jewish genealogy, Harvey immediately recognized its value and responded with encouragement, ideas, emotional support and the money to help get it started. Have served as Honorary President of the International Institute for Jewish Genealogy. Without him, it would not exist today. The world is a colder place without Harvey Krueger; he will be sorely missed.

Dear daughters & your families.
I am so sad for your loss. As the daughter of the other recently passed "Harvey Mark" Rosenwasser, I know how truly sad it is to lose a wonderful father. I know of your father because mine was a lover of genealogy as well. The 2 Harvey Marks (both named for the same grandfather) really made their mark on humanity in lovely and important ways! May we all carry on their wonderful legacies.

Harvery Krueger led with his heart and I had the pleasure of working with him while at Columbia. Throughout my 25 years in not for profit, I have never met anyone who cared as much for a cause than Harvey did for Israel and education. He was a gentleman, a quiet leader, and a true mensch. My thoughts are with his family.

To have witnessed his son Peter pass away at an early age was undoubtedly one of the greatest challenges for a proud and loving father like Harvey to overcome during his lifetime. His strength and that of his family served me as an example in my ways. Peter's optimism, youthfulness and strength lived on in his father, his friend, this very kind and generous man. I will miss them both. Bob

Shocked and saddened to hear the news about Harvey. Hard to imagine this world without him; it is a world that has lost a giant of a leader whose authority and standing stemmed from his goodness, his dedication and his integrity. Through his ongoing and vast philanthropic efforts he worked hard to repair the world and develop an Israel that is secure, just, prosperous and living in peace with its neighbors. Rest in peace, dear Harvey -- your legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of the thousands of people you touched.
