Please accept my deepest condolences, I have never learnt more and had more fun working with such wonderful people as I did last year. David was a gentlemen, a rogue, a prankster and greatly enriched my life. Fondest regards and please know that , I am just around the corner.

Dear Denese and family,

David truly was a giant and I am so very sorry that he has been taken. I was lucky to work with him as a client (and just as often in opposition) for 30 odd years. Ruthless as he may have been conducting litigation, he was never less than generous and open hearted, unfailingly full of bonhomie and joie de vivre. And he was so proud of his family and spoke of you all with love and affection always.

David had the gift of making work, often difficult and emotive when it came to leaky buildings, almost a joy. I can't believe we're never again going to repair to Mo's and knock back a few as we recap the latest.

I will miss him greatly.

Hi Guys
My sincere condolences to you all. I had the pleasure to work with David on a number of building claims in my role and I just want to say that David was the best legal strategist I have ever known and a great human being who always had empathy for people. It was a privilege knowing David and I will cherish the great memories.

Dear Denese, Elizabeth and Colum [and little Maebh], James, Ali and Julia,

My heart goes out to you all at this very sad time.

David was one of the most generous people I have every known, always having the time to listen, advise, console, celebrate and laugh with me, no matter how busy he might be.

His willingness to make Matakana and Whangamata available so that Brian, me and our girls could have a holiday was so appreciated and we all have wonderful memories of those occasions.

I will miss him very much.
