My sincere condolences I worked with Jim in 65 or thereabouts at Permabilt at the freezing works doing carpenter he was in the throes of opening his funeral business and needed some money to keep him going he was a lovely man Charlie Clayton Upper Hutt

My deepest sympathy to Doreen and family in the lost of our cousin Jimmy. I remember as a small child being so proud that I had a cousin representing NZ at the Commonwealth games in Australia and since growing up have always looked up to Jimmy as a kind and caring person. My thoughts go out to you all including Nancy in Australia and Joan.

Loving thoughts are with the family in the loss of a dearly loved man. I will always remember the beautiful smile he had when I walked passed him when visiting my dad at Eventhorpe. Rest in peace Jim you will be missed .

Jim was always held in highest esteem by our family. His smile was magic and his spirit shone through with every contact. We always remember a very special man - kind, generous and thoughtful. Our sympathy is with his family.

He was great roll model to younger rowers in the sixties and his energy and good humour have been a fond memory for a long time.
