David Leal Sr (1957 - 2013)

ODESSA In our Heavenly kingdom and in the loving arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother & dear friend David Leal Sr. On Saturday, May 11 , 2013 surrounded by his loving Family, Mr. Leal was called upon to his heavenly home and kingdom from his residence. Mr. Leal 55 of Odessa was born September 11, 1957 in Corpus Christi, TX to Aurelio and Mirta Montamayor Leal. He united in marriage to Connie Gavia on March 28,1980 in Corpus Christi, TX.

Mr. Leal is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Rachel Leal and Magdelena.

He is survived by his wife Connie Leal of Odessa, TX, Sons: David Leal Jr. and wife Sylvia,. Daughters; Angela L. Alvarado and husband Angel, and Stephanie L. DeArmond and husband Clay, all from Odessa, TX. His grandchildren; Branden David Leal, Sean Michael Leal, Sarai Mirta Leal, Alexis Rene Leal, Jordyn Rene Vela, Angelina Jaelyn Alvarado, Angel Chris Alvarado, and Casen James DeArmond all from Odessa, TX. He is also survived by brothers; Robert Garcia and Abel Leal of Corpus Chrisit, TX, Roy Leal, Oscar Leal, and Jimmy Leal all from Odessa, TX, and Ruben Leal of Midland, TX. Sisters; Mary Lou Ybarra, Yolanda Trevino, and Rhonda Orta all from Corpus Christi, TX, Velia Ontiveros from Odessa, TX, and Lorraine Hollingsworth of Midland, TX. along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Heaven has gained another angel. Our hearts are heavy but we rejoice in knowing that David leal Sr. has finished his race and has WON. He was many things to many people. He was a business owner, a founding member of the 7th largest lowrider car club in the USA , a friend and mentor to many and a family man, but above all he was a faith filled God fearing man. He loved his family, loved his church, and he loved God! He has fought a good fight and been crowned in victory. Our loss on earth is heavens gain. You will be truly missed. We the family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food offerings, and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time May God Bless You All Abundantly.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 from 1pm-9pm with a Prayer service at 7pm at Latter Rain Worship Center 305 E. 19th St. Odessa, TX 79761. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Latter Rain Worship Center with Pastor Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Gardens.
