David L. Reconnu, 84, of Brownsville, formerly of Fallowfield Township, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.

He was born February 12, 1933, a son of the late David and Helen Reconnu.

Mr. Reconnu was a member of Coal Center Presbyterian Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.

Mr. Reconnu retired from RockTenn Co. in Charleroi and formerly worked at International Paper Co.

Surviving are his wife, Liesel Reconnu; a daughter, Karen Porter and husband Bill of Coal Center; a brother, the Rev. Everett Reconnu and wife Joan of Camden, S.C.; a sister, Paulette Chapman and husband Roy of Texas; and two grandchildren, Kellie Rubbo and husband Brian and Matthew Porter and wife Kala.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Debbie Reconnu, and a sister, Lois Boseman.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, 819 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
