Helen Nickler Obituary

Helen Mary Nickler, 92, of Greensboro, died peacefully Friday, April 8, 2016, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born June 14, 1923, in Toms Creek, Va., a daughter of the late Alex and Edith Namet Hegedus.
Mrs. Nickler was a very active member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church in Greensboro. She was also active in her community.
She loved traveling and was devoted to her family. Mrs. Nickler will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her children, Diane and George Davis of Naples, Fla., Francis and Patricia Vecchio Nickler of Cheat Lake, Morgantown, W.Va., and Richard and Teresa Nickler and Michael and Erin Nickler, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Onuscheck of Indiana.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her loving husband, Frank Nickler; an infant daughter; and a sister, Mary Rozzi.
Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the time of a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, April 11, in St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 19 Jo Glen Drive, Morgantown, WV 26508, with the Rev. Carlos Melocoton Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Point Marion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Nickler's memory to SteppingStones, 400 Mylan Park Lane, Morgantown, WV 26501, a nonprofit organization that provides recreation for people with disabilities, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

So sorry to hear about Helen. We always had such good times at the Nickler house, and Helen and Frank were always kind and fun to be around. My prayers are with the family.

We were so very sorry to hear of Helen's death. Gertie and Pete had wonderful times together long ago with their friends Helen and Frank and Gertie has been recalling many of those memories with fondness. Our deepest sympathy.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Helen was a regular part of my life growing up. Our families were in each others houses many times. And I know my parents absolutely loved all the trips they took with Helen and Frank and Mary. My condolences to the entire Nickler family.
