Wileta Clelabel (Severns) Lounsberry-Sykes, formerly of Ocala, passed away April 15, 2018, in Port St. Lucie, FL. Born November 11, 1928, in Chandlerville, IL, she was the daughter of the late Orval H. and Willa Juanita Severns of Oakford, IL. She graduated from Petersburg (IL) High School and the University of Illinois, with a bachelor's degree in music.
She was married to Cpl. Gaylord A. Lounsberry, U.S. Army Signal Corps, until his death in 1989, and Tom Sykes in 2008 until his death in 2014.
Surviving are her children, Alyse Lounsberry of Sanford, FL, Alan and Patricia Lounsberry of Port St. Lucie, FL, Gregory and Tammy Lounsberry of Fredericksburg, MD, and Camala Lounsberry Nolan and John Nolan of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Julie Lounsberry, Daniel Lounsberry, Stephen Lounsberry, Jacob Lounsberry, Jeremy Lounsberry, Jordan Taylor Nolan and Alyssa Riane Nolan, Richard Foose, Karl and Jodi Ploss; and great-grandchildren, Gregory Flannery, Zacherie Fountain, Kelsey Ploss and Tyler Ploss.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 1 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5704 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480.
