ROBERT GORDON, 76
Ocala - Robert Gordon Gilpin, 76, of Ocala, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Robert was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Ocala in 1987. He was a horse trainer and farm manager. Robert was a US Army veteran and enjoyed boating. He was a member of Ocala First Assembly of God. He had a generous loving heart and often opened his home to those in need.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Gilpin of Ocala, daughters Tara 'Belle' Gilpin of Sanford, FL and Joyce Baker (Scott) of N. Ft. Myers, FL, grandchildren Casey Belle Siter and Landen Bailey Gilpin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by sons Robert L. Gilpin and Barry W. Gilpin.
Robert will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10am with military honors. A memorial service will be held at Ocala First Assembly of God in Ocala at 2:00pm on the same day. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to Pillar/America Ministries. 2659 NE 35th Street. #6. Ocala, FL 34479.
