Miller, Janice Rae

Janice Rae Miller, 73, Suring, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Janice was born Oct. 14, 1939, to Roger and Dolores Miller of Suring, Wis. She graduated from Suring High School with the class of 1957. Active in the school band she became the band's majorette. After attending secretarial school she was employed in Milwaukee and Chicago. During the 25 years she resided in Oconto, Wis., she assisted in the kitchen at St Paul's Meal site. She was honored in Oconto County as an Outstanding Volunteer for the number of hours she contributed to the program.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Dolores Miller; her brother, Wade Miller, Milwaukee; her sister, Rose Marie Sudak and her brother-in-law, Sam Sudak, Chicago.

Janice is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bradley Gerndt, Birmingham, Ala.; her brother, John Miller, California; and a sister-in-law, Carol Miller, Brown Deer, Wis. Janice leaves behind the many nieces and nephews who were influenced by her kindness, her tenacity, and her love.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating.
