Lori Graham Obituary

Lori Ann Marsillo Graham

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Lori Ann Marsillo Graham, 50, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, went home to be with the Lord after a valiant struggle with cancer, August 6, 2013 surrounded by her family and many friends.

Lori was born April 3, 1963 and remained a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Lori attended DeWitt Elementary School, IHM and graduated from Woodridge High School in 1981. She furthered her education at Akron University graduating with honors as a CPA and became Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at North Akron Savings Bank. Lori married David L. Graham in 1994. Her son David was the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Lori's generous and enthusiastic spirit, her heart full of passion for life, selflessness and love will live on in the lives of those she touched. Lori was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, the Peninsula Library Foundation, University of Akron's Alumni Assoc., Akron Rotary and the Junior Achievement Honor Society. Lori's love for the Lord and time spent with family was very close to her heart.

Lori's love of her son's many sports teams was evident at every game. Her nickname "Mama Ice" was given to her because of her much beloved support of the teams. Her posters and positive cheer will be greatly missed and the legacy of her indomitable spirit will reverberate throughout the teams' member's lives. "Mama Ice" was greatly loved. Those who knew Lori best knew of her tenderheartedness, compassion and her ability to instinctively know where it was needed most.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Jack Marsillo and mother-in-law, Dottie (Billy) Beam. She is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, David L. Graham; her precious son, David M. Graham; mother, Sylvia (Jakob) Margert; brothers, Jack A. and Tommy Marsillo; sisters, Rita (Michael) Vitale and Anna (Charlie) Gambol; father-in-law, Kenneth (Barb) Graham; sisters-in-law, Valerie (Dan) Wallace and Vallorie Marsillo; nephews and nieces, Max, Luke and Patricia Marsillo, Isabella and Dominick Vitale and Christian and Elise Gambol; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron. Lori's final resting place will be Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, Cuyahoga Falls. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Lori's name.

I have had the honor of working with Lori at North Akron Savings Bank, she was a sweet and caring person. She always had a smile on her face.
Even when I left the bank and went to visit her at work she was still the same Lori that comes out with a smile. I will miss her deeply. And my sympathy goes out to her husband David and her son David and her family.

Dear David and Little David,
Your loss is the communities' loss. I had the honor to meet her through The University of Akron's School of Accountancy Advisory Board. It was important to her to support accounting students. Just another way she showed her love to help others.
We will miss her enthusiasm and smile.

Dear Aunt Sylvia, Jack, Tom, Rita, Anna, to her son David and husband,

How sad we were to hear the passing of sweet Cousin Lori Ann.

I can't even bare the thought, and wish this wasn't real, but I am glad she feels no more pain.

May time soothe your soul and bring you all peace within; she would want you to be happy.

Take solace in the fact that she will never leave your thoughts and will always guide you along.

May the many wonderful memories created over the years help you during this very difficult time.

She will always live on, in the loving memories that you will carry with you forever.

She was a gem of all gems.
