Sebastian "Bib" J Barber
Sebastian J. "Bib" Barber, 94, of Streetsboro and formerly of Ravenna, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.
He was born June 22, 1924 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Frank and Bessie (Tilenni) Barber. Bib lived in Ravenna most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mary I. (Petrella) Barber whom he married July 31, 1948; his children, Steve (Mimi) Barber of Cleveland Hts., Daniel (Cindy) Barber of Salado, Texas, Bill (Mary Beth) Barber of Ravenna, Lori Barbuto of Howard, Ohio, Maryann Barber of Streetsboro; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, and siblings, Grace (Gembar), Augie, Mary (Sapp) and Anne (Panucci) he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Damara Diaz and her daughter Juliana.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church Ravenna, Ohio. As an alternative to flowers, please consider a donation to Catholic Bishops Appeal, Catholic Relief organizations, or hospice organization of your choice.
