Andrew Frye, 16, of Akron, Ohio passed unexpectedly on April 6, 2016.
He was born in Akron and was cared for by his great aunt, Tammy Smith. He attended Green High School and was very interested in computers, music, and video gaming. Andrew was extremely generous in helping others; he was a gentle person with a heart of gold. He will be missed tremendously by all his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, John Sabini; grandfather, Berkeley Dawkins; and grandfather, Scott Frye; he is survived by his great aunt, Tammy Smith; and her siblings, Marlene and Joe Popeko, Terry Mayfield, and Lisa Mayfield-Russo; grandmother, Janet Dawkins; Kellie and Ben Derin, Julie and Marc Andrea, David and Souad Smith, Misty Fry, Scott and Linda Fry, Brandon and Jennifer Diaz (Mariah F. Frye), and Mary and Jason Diaz (Aaliyah H. Frye); good friends, Michael Longwood, Arizona Smith, and Marcelis Callaway; and many cousins and relatives.
Visitation will be held for Andrew at Adams Mason Funeral Home, (791 E. Market Street, Akron) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016, with funeral service to follow from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Robert Corn for being Andrew's role model and father figure.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Andrew Frye memorial fund at any First Merit bank to help with final expenses.
