"Jessie" Buemi

Josephine "Jessie" Buemi, age 101, passed away peacefully on July 10 at her son's home, where she resided for the past several years in Westerville, Ohio.

Born in Madera, Pa. on February 17, 1917 to the late John and Leonia Malinoski, and lived in that area throughout her childhood years. She moved to Wadsworth, Ohio after high school and remained a long time resident of the city and long time member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jessie attributed living a long life by always remaining active; including maintaining her home, managing her apartments and working in her backyard garden amongst many raspberry bushes in her later years. She enjoyed playing in a pinochle club, loved sewing and upholstering furniture. She thoroughly enjoyed visits from all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles J. Buemi, her beloved son, Sammy and brother, Chester Monesky. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Windisch and son, Charles Buemi (Wendy); five grandchildren, Christine Windisch, Matthew Buemi (Nikki), Melissa Hayes (John), Melinda Albertson (Mike), Meredith Buemi; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Isabel Jackson; brother, Joseph Moneskey.

Family and friends may visit at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth OH at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. A funeral service officiated by Deacon Roger Klass will follow at 1:30 p.m.. Interment following service at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to United Cerebral Palsy (ucp.org ).
