Patty and I were co-workers at the Northeast Ohio Regional Library Depository for twelve years. She was a reliable staff member who handled every aspect of her job with dignity and perfection and always put the interests of her customers first and foremost in her mind. We became close friends very quickly and she was always willing to help me with any questions I might have had on job procedures at the Depository.

There are so many memories that come to mind of our twelve years together, like our traditional yearly lunch time visits to the Randolf Fair, our holiday lunches and staff gift exchanges, and just the happy daily conversations we had about our families, including weddings of our children and the births of our grandchildren, all of which were of primary importance in Patty's life.

It was an honor to have known Patty and to have worked with her at NEOMED. My thoughts and prayers are with Jason, Kristin and Andy and the other family members during his very difficult time. Patty will be missed.

Patty, was a lifelong friend. We were best of friends for many years growing up. We were inseparable! She was so humble about how good she was in her soft ball pitching. She was truly the best! We were so blessed to have grown up next to Aqua Springs where we were able to hang out daily in the summer and create many memories. In the evenings we would drive around in her cool red car to wherever that may take us. Coliseum Bowling Alley, Springfield Lake roller Rink, Stricklands, etc. Then we grew up and went our separate ways. We still kept in touch now and then, but not as much as we should have. When she married Jason and a had a family there was nothing that was more important to her. Jason, her son Andy, her daughter Kristin, her grandchildren, she was so proud and loved them all so much. Patty, will always hold a special place in my heart, and be one of my most loved friends I will ever have in my lifetime. Heaven just got another Angel! RIP Patty, I love you!

I am the other pitcher that was recruited at Akron U the first year they went to fastpitch. I had already met and been Patty's teammate for a national trip to San Antonio, Texas. That was a great trip. I was so honored to be Patty's teammate. She was such an inspiration to me, and so humble. I really looked up to her because I knew I she was one of the best pitcher around. She was not only an awesome teammate, but a very good friend. That first year was hard for me, since I was from further away and had to live in campus, but Patty was there for me as a good friend to help me adjust to being away from home. She will be very much missed by all! My prayers are with you all. God bless you!

So sadden to hear of such news. Patty was not just a smiling face that appeared on our door step almost every single day for years, she was undoubtedly my sisters',( Brenda Blankenship)best friend.
There is something about your childhood, breeding history, creating memories, its the very core of ones soul. Although they took different paths in life, the loyalty and laughter they once shared will always be a piece of who they are. There is nothing more precious than a lifetime friend, its truly a treasure and that she was. She was an absolute joy to watch playing softball and we did that many of times. My heart goes out to her family and to all who knew her, may your memories bring you smiles and peace rather than tears.

I am so saddened to hear of Patty's passing. I went to school with Patty and played Softball with her for many years. Her Pitching skills were admired and honored by many of her teammates and her many fans! We had so much fun through out the years in all our Victories and even in our defeats. So many good memories I'm sure we've all cherished. My Sincere Condolences to her family and close friends.
