Dear Family of Polly,
My heartfelt condolence to you. I first met Polly years ago while waiting for people to arrive for a meeting...we had a long talk and shared our love for the Blessed Mother, and from then on, she became a dear, dear friend. We shared numerous trips to a shrine and Bob's Hamburg, and she even shared her olive wood statue of the Blessed Mother. She was so excited about the family wedding past summer. She was saintly in so many ways: her prayerfulness, her humble, sweet simplicity, her being IN this world, but not OF it, and her always wearing something blue in honor of the Blessed Mother. I will miss her greatly.
God Bless your family. Surely you have a saint watching over and praying for you.

Dearest Evelyn, Laura, Mark, and Family,
It is with the heaviest heart that I write you my sorrow at Polly's passing. I loved her with all my heart. I met you and Polly first at a garage sale fundraiser that my friends had for me 11 years ago when I first got sick. I was immediately drawn in by her warmth and friendliness and her willingness to do something for a total stranger. I had many wonderful times with her going to church based classes, lectures, and talks. Evelyn, I enjoyed going to flea markets with both you and Polly and I remember the times when you had me over for your delicious lunches. Polly would take me and Tommy to her special hamburger place and she always remembered Tommy with coloring books or a Christmas ornament project. I look around and see things you have either made for me or that Polly has given me and I feel enveloped by love from both of you
In a world where people are rushing around, Polly gave of herself, her valuable time. She was always baking or helping at church. She was eager to give rides to those who didn't have one. She visited her sick friends especially when I could no longer drive or walk. She prayed for people when she could do nothing else. She prayed for me and my family. How many of us can say we follow the Corporal Works of Mercy?
Polly and I shared a love for the Blessed Mother Mary. We spent hours talking about her and the message of Fatima and the importance of saying the Rosary. We talked about the Divine Mercy and we talked about knowing this was not our final destination. She embodied the humility that Mother Mary modeled for us and that we all aspire to. I learned much from Polly in this realm alone. I know that she went straight to Heaven and is reaping the rewards of a life faithfully lived. I promise to keep you all in my prayers. In memory of Polly I plan to do something for someone in need and I hope everyone who loved Polly will do the same. It would be a real tribute to her to pay it forward.

I was talking to a good friend Arline Sobek, the other day and in conversation she asked me if I knew the Polly Kennedy had passed away in her sleep, I tell you if my mouth and jaw was not attached it would have been on the floor, Just a month ago at church Polly and I were talking and visiting at doughnut Sunday she was so excited to have this year being done teaching PSR and retiring and enjoying the rest of her retirement with her Mom and find a new smaller home and just enjoying life. Polly a sweet lady so kind and helpful always asking if I needed a ride home or to church and always a smile from the country lady. Jesus picked another angel to take again too soon from us. But we are never given a time line on the earth,When we are born we are given then our span of life from God. Polly was so kind, sweet and always there too help. May you Rest In Peace my friend and now our angel too lead us daily from heaven. May the memories we all cherish in our hearts and joys your brought to everyone you met. You left behind a lot of friends, A loving Mom and family that will miss you dearly. Peace in Christ... Love you from the Heart Ms. Polly Kennedy..? ? ? 2/11/2013
