Roger Evan Owen, 87, went home to be with His Lord on April 17, 2018.

Born in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of a recently migrated Welsh coal mining family.

Tragically losing his Father at 11 years, it fueled a passion for business, community service and family. A 49' graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and Denison University, he also served in the U.S. Army. Roger's 60 year real estate career culminated with the development a two major business parks that set the gold standard in the Seminole County. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol, Kiwanis (past Pres.), Rotary (past Pres.), Mentor (SCPS), Akron Board of Realtors (past Pres), Silver Lake and Tuscawilla County Clubs. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was blessed in marriage to Patricia M. Owen (55 years) and Kathleen M. Owen (six years).

Preceeded in death by Louis, Mildred, Patricia, Meloni Ann, and Robert L. Owen, he is survived by his wife, Kathy and children, Michael of Akron, Ohio, Meloni of Orlando, Fla., Charles (Beth) of Tempe, Arizona, Jenni (Daniel) of Columbus, Ohio, Carol of Salt Lake City, Utah: stepchildren, JP (Patricia), and PL (Beth) of Winter Springs. Roger is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas (Marin), Erin (Shy), Luke, Bethany (Matt), Jonathan (Tina), Melissa (Claudio), Rachel, Dylan, Hunter, Josina, Andrew, Evan, Chace, Paul, Ireland: Brandon, Meagan, Austin; greatgrands, Landon, Brody, Peyton, Amelia, Teddy, Colette, Jake, and Jack. Roger's impact in life was vast and his passing will be felt throughout the Central Florida community.

A Celebration of Life Mass was held in Winter Springs, Fla. on May 30, 2018 and he will he laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
