Frank E. Battles II, 91, died July 7, 2008 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1916 in Ashtabula, to the late Frank and Myrtle (Fuller) Battles.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary (Jones) Battles; son, Frank III (Diana) Battles of Copley, Ohio; daughter, Beverly (Jack) Varney of Batavia, Ohio; stepdaughters, Mary Pixley of Monroe Twp., Lois (Dan) Burke of Conneaut; sisters, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Battles in 1974; sister, Florence Tuttle; and brother, Eugene Battles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 12 p.m. at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
