Robert Six Obituary
He was born in Akron, and raised in West Virginia. Robert retired from Mohawk Rubber after 31 years of service. He helped established the Fraternal Order of the Orioles Nest #167, and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Robert obtained the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. His greatest accomplishment was his family and friends, and that he left this world without any remorse.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Icie (Fred) Miller; and father, James Six. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Lynn; sons, Robert (Deborah) Six, Terrence Six, and Steven (Beth) Six; step-children, Michael (Jill) Simmons, Cyndie (Angelo) Kouzelos, Ty Simmons, and Jon (Danie) Simmons; many grandchildren; brother, James (Shirley) Six; sisters, Ruth (Everett) Hart, and Nancy Brown; and many other loving family members.
Calling hours will be held Monday, October 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held Tuesday, October 26, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Baldridge officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Bob was my foreman at Mohawk. We had some times there. He was a good man and a good boss to work for. After Mohawk, we met up again at the Orioles where he suggested I join.
