Ronald L. Penner

In loving tribute to Ronald L. Penner, March 29, 1930 to August 29, 2013, he was a legendary husband, father, grandpa, friend, and attorney.

Ron was born in Akron, Ohio to Bernard and Bessie Penner. He was a graduate of Western Reserve University and Law School. On August 12, 1951, Ron married Arlene Neiman, his high school sweet heart and the love of his life. When Ron served in the Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Army, Arlene joined him in Japan which began their love of international travel.

Proud father of Barbara Penner Beckert (Ed) of Milwaukee, Wis., Mark Penner of Dania Beach, Fla., Richard Penner of Lombard, Ill., and Wendy Penner (Steve) of Williamstown, Mass.; very devoted grandpa of Max, Jake, Alina, and Hannah.

After a successful legal career in Akron, Ohio, Ron and Arlene moved to Boca Raton, Florida where they enjoyed many new adventures.

Ron was loved by all for his warmth, sense of humor, intellect, integrity, and zest for life. He was a dedicated family man, and loving father and grandpa. Ron and his beautiful wife, Arlene were best friends and shared a deep love of family, and an amazing network of friends in Ohio, Florida, and across the country. They enjoyed tennis, bridge, Israel, and traveling the world. Ron loved following the stock market and was an enthusiastic sports fan. He was respected by clients and colleagues for his integrity, work ethic, knowledge of the law, skills at negotiation – and his kindness.
