Michael Jerome Thomas Patti played his last hand on April 1, 2016. He was born June 15, 1948 to the late Michael T. and Josephine R. (nee Pronio) Patti in Akron, the oldest of five sons, and was a lifelong resident.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest brother, Thomas; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Grace (Nepolitano) Patti; maternal grandparents, Ben and Clara (Buzzelli) Pronio; uncles, Sam Patti, Joe Pronio, Anthony Pronio; aunts, Jo Patti, Mary Waddell, Alvie Patti, Loretta Pronio; cousins, Jerry Patti, Marge A. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lynn; sons, Mark (Amber) and Keith; grandsons, Joey, Dylan, Jabe and Liam; brothers, Rick (Gail), John and Frank (Gabrielle); and many nieces and nephews.

He retired from FirstMerit Bank June 30, 2010, after 37 years of service. Before that he worked at McDonald's Restaurants for eight years starting in 1965. He attended St. Matthew Parish Grade School, Ellet High School, class of 1966, and graduated from the University of Akron, with a BA in Education in March of 1971.

He enjoyed family and friends, and loved to laugh and make others laugh, and make all around him comfortable. He loved baseball, playing cards, history, especially military history, reading, building model ships, and Ohio State football. He was very organized and detailed.

Mike was our oldest brother and was the glue which held our family together, especially after our parents graduated from this life. Truly Mikey was a peace maker, "blessed be the peace makers for they will be called the children of God".
Daily petitions rise up for you brother! Love and miss you!

Mike and I were always close. With his last name and mine, we sat close in most venues. We hung together at our 10 year reunion. And picked up where we left off. He was smart, funny, helpful and my friend.

Lynn,

I watched Mike's end of life unfold through the communications that you shared on Facebook. You both have been very courageous in this difficult time to say the least. The demonstration of support for each other throughout it, and knowing the destiny of eternity God has for Mike through our Savior Jesus Christ, could not have been more gracefully displayed. Lynn, I've always known you to be a strong woman and I saw nothing less here as well. May your journey to eternity continue in the way that God has planned for you, knowing that Mike is at peace with our Heavenly Father. Prayers during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of having Keith Patti in a graduate class at Arizona State University. He always spoke so highly of his father -- don't we all wish our children will look up to us the way Keith does to his father. With hopes that the good memories will help Keith and the entire family through this difficult time.

Born 5 days after me. Sat behind me at Ellet for 4 years in many classes and was a great friend and a real smart guy. Gave us free bags of hamburgs and fries from Macs in the 60's. Last saw him at our 10th high school reunion. A truly good man and caring person. Aka "Hamburger" Patti.

Lynn and family, my deepest sympathy to you. I enjoyed working with Mike on the 8th floor when the Wire Department was located in the Accounting Department in the mid 80's. I enjoyed how Mike would enter a room - always with a smile or a joke and brightening everyone's day. He was considered a good leader and friend to everyone at the bank. I hope that your faith, the love and support of family and friends, and the sharing of memories fill your hearts.

My sincere condolences,
