Ralph was the oldest of our Mom , Shirley Hauser , 5 boys . All of us looked up to Ralph who truly was an artistic genius ! He would patiently sit for hours and teach me personally to draw and paint . I wrote down all his sage advice so as never to forget it ! I even recorded many of our painting sessions ! He was an old soul , and on this 3rd anniversary of his passing in 2020 - within one year of our mother's passing ! Ralph is missed . The family is not complete . The world is not the same . Love ya Bro ! s/ Bill Hauser

In loving memory of a wonderful person. He was a friend and an amazing artist. Often I would see him walking around Barberton. Many of his awesome murals are on buildings around town. My prayers are with your family

I am Ralph's brother , Bill Hauser , in Michigan . No mention was made in the obit of his 3 brothers and family in Michigan , as well as his daughter Naomi and his grandchildren ! I always admired my oldest brother ! We worked on many art projects together , and he always encouraged me . He always felt his destiny was first and foremost to be a painter, an artist ! And he was a prodigy at this from day 1 ! So many good times my Brother ! You will be missed . LOVE and LIGHT ! Your brother Chip .

Hello. I knew Ralph as a fellow student at Norton. I'm sorry to have heard only just today of his passing. I would have liked to participated in his memorial service. Though I did not know Ralph well, I always felt a kindness with him. My sympathies to his family. I will continue to think of him with great kindness.

Ralph was a very talented artist. His paintings remain throughout the area. He painted the most beautiful religious wall murals while I worked at Busson Photography in Barberton. He painted some of the murals still seen in some of Akron's Italian restaurants. He was a kind soul, the true "starving artist" for a time, but instead found his richness in his artwork that he so lovingly created. Although I only knew Ralph for a short time, he left his lifelong impression for all to "follow your dreams". Rest well, dear friend...

I am saddened to hear of Ralph's passing. He was truly an iconoclast. I recall giving him a ride many years ago and as we drove he told me about this old man that he had met and befriended in Barberton. Soon I realized that the old man he had befriended was my grandfather - another wandering soul. Godspeed Ralph.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ralph's passing. I remember him as a true iconoclast. I recall giving him a ride many years ago and as we drove along he told me about an old man in Barberton whom he had met on the street and befriended. The old man turned out to be my grandfather, who was another wandering soul. Godspeed Ralph.

Ralph was a great guy,I loved his art work. I always brought his notebook to Santrock school. I dropped off my son and he dropped off his daughter. He would show me what drawings he was working on. I will miss seeing him around Barberton. He will be missed. But we still have some of his beautiful art that he painted around the city to enjoy.Ralf you will be missed.

Dear Family & many Friends, Please accept my sincere sympathies and know my prayers are with you.
Although many years have passed, Ralph was always a staple in our city.
A gentle, kind and very tenderhearted soul. He'd buy a burger from McD's and eat some and share with the stray animals, He loved people and animals. His art as well, He enjoyed making people happy and giving what he could.
He painted for our mother back in the early 70's, a portrait of a cowboy wearing a sombrero, lasso up in the air on a stallion bucking up . The painting hung proudly on her living room wall until her death in 2012. He painted it thinking she was from Spanish or Mexican heritage, Although he was mistaken she loved the gift and cherished him and the painting. We still have the painting in the family. Ralph will be missed.
