Beverly Jean Sizemore

Beverly Jean Sizemore, 84, passed away May 28, 2021 after a courageous 35 year battle with cancer. Beverly was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late Omer and Mary (Liggett) VanHook and lived in New Franklin for the last 50 years. She was a faithful member of the Yusef Khan Grotto an Order of the Eastern Star. She loved casinos, antiques, traveling and at one time was a professional clown. She loved her family and was a strong matriarch. Beverly is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy; and sisters, June Finnie, Christina Liska, and Shirley VanHook. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William; children, Mary (Bruce) Shriner, Steven (Carla) Sizemore, Carolyn (David) Schott, Todd Sizemore and Melanie (Steven) Smith; grandchildren 16; great-grandchildren, 18; brother, Michael (Jane) VanHook; sister, Mary Lou Ruggles; and many loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, from 4 to 6:30 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron. Funeral services will be Friday evening at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Beverly's final resting place will be Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Beverly's name.
