Robert Drayer Obituary
Robert R. Drayer, 74, passed away Aug. 20, 2002.
He was a printer for 27 years with the Akron Beacon Jour nal, retiring January of 1990. He served with the United States Navy in World War II. He was a member of the Eastern Star Lakes #567, Past Master of Portage Lakes Masonic Lodge #752, Scottish Rite of Valley of Canton, and a member of Cottage Grove Evangelical Congrega tional Church.
Mr. Drayer is survived by his wife of 51 years of marriage, Beverly J. Drayer; children, Danny (Donna) of Mogadore, David (Judy) of Oregon, Jim (Barb) of Oklahoma, Michael (Beverly) of Mogadore, Mark (Debbie) of Hartville and Joy of Atwater; sister, Betty (Jack) Blizzard; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. with Masonic services at 7 p.m. at the Adams Mason Memorial Chapel, 791 E. Market St., Akron where funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, Pastor John Friedlund officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Mog adore with Firestone V.F.W., Post #3383 performing military honors. Contributions may be made to the Cottage Grove Evangelical Congregational Church, 3133 Cottage Grove Rd., Akron, Ohio 44319. (Adams Mason Memorial Chapel, 330-535-9186.)
