Leonard NOVAKOWSKI Obituary
NOVAKOWSKI, Leonard Edward: Len Novakowski passed away suddenly following a battle with COPD and recently diagnosed heart failure. He died at home, discovered by his wife Zoria. He is survived by his loving family - wife Zoria; sons Kevin and Keith; daughter Kathryn; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Eileen and Veronica. Len dedicated his life in securing our country by working and flying for 37 years with the Canadian Air Force. Upon retirement he served the community of Westbank as Regional Director for 11 years. Prior to that he served 4 years as an alternate for the then Regional Director. A funeral mass will be said at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in West Kelowna on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. His urn will be interred in the Westbank Cemetery immediately following the mass. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only 10 invited guests may attend. Arrangements are in the care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium, West Kelowna Arrangement Centre (250-768-8925). Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.everdenrust.com.

I remember Len well from our Regional District Board days together. I had a lot of respect for Len. He was a father figure on the board for me. He was strong of character and really cared for his area. His love for Zoria was very obvious. May the family find strength and comfort in the knowledge that Len made a difference in the world. RIP Len.
