Eltie SUTHERLAND Obituary

SUTHERLAND, Eltie: My Mum passed away on July 4, 2017 in Penticton, BC. She is survived by her daughter Paige Sutherland, long time friend Ken Evans and her sister Dona Smithson and family. I have never known a woman stronger, more beautiful or caring than you. Your laughter filled up the room. You were a heart with legs. I am the woman I am because of you and your support, drive and love. You were never one to give up. All my life it was the two of us, together as always. "The most beautiful thing in the world to me would be live on the beach and go to bed with the windows open and listen to the waves come crashing in." Mum was a great and loving person with a wonderful spirit that touched us all. Please join in a celebration of Mum's life at the Penticton Golf Course, Friday, July 14 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Paige, I was so sorry to read just now about Your Mum. Such a wonderful woman. I have been trying to E-mail her to tell her about my wife's death, but they all bounced.

We shared the driveway in Ottawa where you and Kirby would play. It was
a great place to live. We visited your Mum and Ken whenever we passed through to Chilliwack.

Elizabeth, then known as Betty Gehman died early last month from the problems associated with Alzheimer's after about eight years of decline. Her body has been accepted by the U of Manitoba Medical research department, which our whole family approved.

Again, belated condolences. Clarke [Tex] Gehman

P.S. You still an ace on your bike? T.
