BATES, Garth: Passed away with his family by his side on October 15, 2015 at the age of 73 years. Remembered and sadly missed by his wife Penny; children Charlotte (Darin) of Kaleden, BC, Rhodena (David) of Senoia, Georgia, Mark (Katherine) of Kelowna, BC; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother Sydney (Frances) of Penticton, BC. Sadly predeceased by his father and mother and brother Sherman. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, BC. Dear Penny,
I have just read about the passing of cousin Garth. I am so glad we did get to visit that once with my daughter. He was such a
fine man. My condolences.
I did answer your Christmas card but that letter came back as
you had moved.
My brother, Clio, suffered a severe heart attack one month ago
and only because of his good health did he recover. Actually
he is slowly recovering.
My sister and I had been with him for Nov. Thanksgiving in Boise
then I stayed for his 89th birthday. The heart attack was a month
later.
may you have many fond memories to recall and enjoy.
