Kathleen PETTMAN Obituary
PETTMAN (nee HILL), Kathleen "Kay" Benson: February 17, 1916 - April 18, 2018. Kay was born in Accrington, England in 1916 while her father served with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in France during WWI. The family returned to Canada in 1918 and moved to Kelowna 99 years ago. Kay was predeceased by husband Charles (Chas) Pettman and brothers Len and Tim Hill. Survived by sister Norma Brown and Sister-in-law Marina Pettman; sons Ken (Andree), Don (Joan), Doug (Sandee) and Len (Terri); 9 Grandchildren/Step Grandchildren, 17 Great- Grandchildren/ Step Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families. Kay was Lady-of-the-Lake in 1936 and 1937. She was active in several community groups including 73 years with the Dr. Knox Chapter IODE. Memorial service will held at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Church. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Central Okanagan Foundation in Kay's name at #306 - 1726 Dolphin Ave., Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 9R9.
