Thomas MILNE Obituary

MILNE, Thomas William: 1941 - 2021 Passed away peacefully January 9, 2021 at Moog & Friends Hospice in Penticton with his wife, Anne Marie and step daughter, Lyndia by his side. Tom is survived by his wife, Anne Marie, son James (Kim); daughters, Leah (Bill), Sherry (Chuck); step daughters, Lyndia (Lee) and Connie; five grandchildren, four step grandsons, two great grandchildren and two nieces, Holly and Christine. He was predeceased by his twin brother Richard and his parents, William and Margaret Milne. Tom had a long three-year fight with pancreatic cancer but always had time to get in some golf with his friends and do his gardening. Tom was a proud Teamster and held the position of Secretary Treasurer for Local 155 for 13 years. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and worked with him. As Tom would say when giving a toast, "Here's to 100". Special thank you to Dr. N. Walters, Dr. Baxter and Dr. Bannerman as well as all the staff at Moog & Friends for their kind care. A graveside service will be held January 15 at Peach Orchard Cemetery by invitation due to Covid 19. A celebration of his life will be held at a date when we can meet again. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society. Condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.everdenrust.com

Tom was a childhood friend of my father Gary, and I remember many memories of our families when I was a child. I also ran into Tom occasionally in later years on film contract negotiations when he was with Teamsters and I was with IATSE 891 film negotiations.
My deepest sympathies to the family (Sherry and Leah and James in particular) from the Steuarts.
