Joe C. Davis

OKLAHOMA CITY
Joe Carmen Davis was born on March 6, 1922. He was the last living of five children born to Frank and Ruth Davis. After grad-uating high school in 1940, Joe moved to Wichita and worked for Boeing. He began flying in 1942 and in 1944 Joe volunteered for the US Army Air Corps, serving until his Honorable Discharge in 1945. On September 5, 1948, Joe married Dorothy Morton and they spent the next 71 years together, until her death. He accumulated over 10,000 flight hours in an aviation career that spanned more than 40 years. Joe is survived by his son, Joe D. and wife Lori of Denver, CO; one beloved granddaughter, Alexandra Carmen Davis; and daughter, Rebecca Jacobsen and husband Jake of Puyallup, WA. Graveside services will be Monday, November 23, 2:00pm in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, OKC. To share a memory or condolence, visit:
