Julia Elizabeth (Kelly) Brewster passed from this life on Nov. 22, 2020. Julia was born June 26, 1933, in Bangor, ME to parents Maurice Kelly and Hazel Catherine (McHale) Kelly. She married Gayle Drew Brewster Dec. 1, 1951, and through this union, they created seven daughters and four sons. She was a devout Catholic, strong in her religious upbringing. She dedicated her adult ministry to coordinating funeral dinners for the St. James Catholic Church parish families for 40 years. She was so humbled to be recognized by Pope Francis for her dedicated service. She volunteered unending hours to the parish and was a member of the St. Pius Guild, and the St. James Altar Society while raising her large family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lena, Mary, and Ann; her brothers, Kenneth, Blondie, Bobby, and Gerald; her granddaughter, Anastasia; and her husband. She is survived by her brother, Marty Kelly, of Maine; and numerous other family members from the Brewster and Kelly clans who have always shared a life and love connection with her. She is also survived by her 11 children - a litany of names we can attest she could say in 11 seconds or less! As she always told us, "You know which ones you are!" She also is survived by her cherished 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and an unending list of friends, particularly Sue Hebert, Betty Ivie, and Shirley Leonard. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. at Vondel L. Smith & Sons South Lakes. Services and a Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at St. James Catholic Church, located at 4201 S. McKinley Ave., OKC.
