May 27, 1963 - May 20, 2013 MOORE Terri Elizabeth Long (Brewer), 49, of Moore, OK, died Monday, May 20, 2013. She was born to Jerry and Mary Brewer on May 27, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in Nicoma Park with her two younger brothers, Darry Brewer of Oklahoma City and Garry Brewer of Orlando, Florida. Terri graduated from Mount St. Mary's High School in 1981. She was a proud member of the Moore community, along with her husband Kenneth Long. Terri was a longtime employee of the Federal Aviation Administration in the Registration Division at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. Terri loved traveling, photography, anything Harley Davidson, and helping others. She loved to read and camped out to see the Twilight series with her daughters. She was a tireless volunteer for many causes including many of her daughter's school functions. She would often remind her children of a famous Janis Joplin quote "Don't compromise yourself, you're all you've got." Her children converted her to the powerfully orange ways of Pistol Pete, much to the dismay of her husband. Terri was a caring, compassionate soul who never met a stranger and treated friends like family. Her smile and laughter were infectious. Her proudest accomplishments were her three children, Terry Don Costilla, Jenna Costilla, and Alyson Costilla. She doted on her grandchildren, Brayden Silva and Ella Costilla and loved to hear them call her "Mimi". She was looking forward to her youngest daughter, Alyson's, graduation from Southmoore High School this week and was also preparing to celebrate her 50th birthday. Her life tragically ended on May 20th when she stopped at a convenience store to seek shelter from the impending storms. Her home was also destroyed in the devastation. Contributions may be made for the benefit of her family to: The Terri Long Memorial Fund at any Bank of the West Location. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.

Terri, we laughed, we cried, we wondered, and we dreamed. We ALLOWED our children to be kicked in the head and made them go back for more! Our children became martial artists and we became friends. We were in the inner circle but stayed in touch when it became an oval. I'm so grateful our last time together was in my home and your last request to me was my address to announce Alyson's graduation. Your time on earth is through, but your impact is eternal. You'll be missed.

May God grant the family peace, strength, and love to sustain you through the days to come, and your wonderful memories carry you through to brighter days ahead. I met Terri when she was a teenager, and our paths have crossed only a few times over the years, but every time I saw her she gave me that million dollar smile and hugged me like I was family. it is so difficult to understand how such a beautiful, sweet, genuine, kind, caring person with so much to give can be gone so fast. It is not for us to know why God called Terri home, only to believe that she was surrounded by angels and lifted up and carried into the arms of Jesus and those who have gone before her, to love and be loved, and patiently wait for those she left behind who believe. Godspeed.
