OKLAHOMA CITY Everett J. Hodges, Jr., 77, passed away August 30, 2011. He was born on August 19, 1934 to Everett and Zetta Hodges in Arkansas City, Kan-sas. He was a conductor on the ATSF/ Railroad for 44 years and he retired in September 1996. He also ran as a State Senator in 1964 and lost out in the Primary Election. Jay is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret (Pate) Hodges; three children, Everett Hodges III, Sheryl Lynn, and Phyllis; grandchildren, Maxx Krueger, April Tomlin, Briana Hodges, and Melissa Hodges; great grandchildren, Mason and Chloe Tomlin; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John David and his wife Dorothy (Pate) Hodges; nephew, John D., Jr. and niece, Jacqueline. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2011, in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. To share condolences, please visit:
