Aug. 19, 1934 - Aug. 30, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Everett J. Hodges, Jr., 77, passed away August 30, 2011. He was born on August 19, 1934 to Everett and Zetta Hodges in Arkansas City, Kan-sas. He was a conductor on the ATSF/ Railroad for 44 years and he retired in September 1996. He also ran as a State Senator in 1964 and lost out in the Primary Election. Jay is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret (Pate) Hodges; three children, Everett Hodges III, Sheryl Lynn, and Phyllis; grandchildren, Maxx Krueger, April Tomlin, Briana Hodges, and Melissa Hodges; great grandchildren, Mason and Chloe Tomlin; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John David and his wife Dorothy (Pate) Hodges; nephew, John D., Jr. and niece, Jacqueline. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2011, in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. God Bless our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We have lots of great memories. From Uncle Jay being Buck's best man at our wedding to the kids running to the door when the train whisle would blow and say uncle jay uncle jay and they would look for the red bandana. Love Donna Jean and family
