John Repinski Obituary

John Theodore Repinski, of Oklahoma City, left his loving family on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 after a three year battle with cancer. John was born on December 6, 1955 in OKC, and attended St Charles Borromeo Catholic School, and graduated from Putnam City Highschool in 1974. John worked for several years at Dayton Tire Co., and later owned an auto paint and body shop, and was a self-employed handyman. He will be remembered as a kind, quiet man with a sense of humor and many talents. He had an enthusiasm for creating unique pieces of art, watching NASCAR on TV, listening to Frank Zappa and Cat Stevens, and fishing with friends and family at Lake Texoma. John was preceded in death by his father, Frank Repinski and step-father Harold Pearse. He will be greatly missed by his mother Elva Repinski Pearse of Yukon, OK, his brother Franz 'Butch' Repinski of Denver, CO, sisters Terry Newsome of Plano, TX, Mary Sterbenz of Yukon, OK, Betty Blask of Saskatchewan, CN, Chris Beasler of Bethany, OK, and his loving daughter Jaimie Repinski of OKC. John also had two brothers-in-law, Ken Sterbenz and Richard Blask, step-brothers Carl and Steve Pearse, step-sisters Karen Cushing, Mary Beth Seward, Tami Byczek and their families, and many neices and nephews who loved him dearly. John had a small circle of friends who were endearing to him. During his illness their friendship meant alot to his family. One of John's favorite songs was 'Peace Train'by Cat Stevens . Those who knew John are sure he is riding his own peace train to heaven. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 3rd at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
