Elaine P. Stivers age 74, died Wednesday,
December 26, 2018 at the Masonic Home of
Shelbyville. She was a native of Henry County,
but had lived in Oldham County
for a number of years. She worked
at Leggett & Platt for 42 years
with differing jobs-a tow motor
driver, a parts assembler, and a
shipping clerk. She had attended
Pleasureville Baptist Church.
She was an avid reader, loved to
play Bunco, and was a huge Elvis
Presley fan.
She was preceded in death by her mother,
Fannie Gardner Clark and her husband, Joe
Clark; her father, Earl Peyton; and her brothers,
Calvin Petitt, Benny Wayne Peyton, Joe Willis
Clark, Lonnie Ray Clark, and David Joel Clark.
She is survived by her daughter, Garnetta
Stivers of Shelbyville; her son, Kenneth Stivers
(Melissa) of Buckner; her sisters, Annetta
Shannon of Pleasureville, Brenda Clark Kellogg
of Crestwood, and Peggy Clark Nation (Robert)
of Crestwood; her brother, Coleman Peyton
(Loretta) of Crestwood; her best friend, Sheila
Smith Wilson (Lee) of Russell Springs; her
grandchildren, Douglas Stivers of Pleasureville
and William Dalton Adcock (Victoria) of
Shelbyville; her great granddaughter, Lylian
Pamlateer of Augusta, GA; and several nieces
and nephews.
A memorial services will be held at a later
date.
