CAITLIN ANNA JENSEN

Caitlin Anna Jensen, 33, of Fargo, ND died very unexpectedly at home on September 16, 2016 of a seizure. Caitlin or Cait was the daughter of Alan W. Jensen of Red Deer, Alberta and Laurie J. Lucking of Fergus Falls, MN and Mililani, HI. She was born on April 25, 1983 in Milwaukee, WI. , graduated from high school in Mililani, HI and from North Dakota State University with a BS in Zoology and a minor in Music. Caitlin was blessed with beauty, intelligence and musical talent. She was also a nurturer. Cait was a lyric soprano and started voice lessons when she was 10. She was a member of the Hawaii All State Choir in high school and performed with a Kanikapila vocalgroup for several years while attending college in Hawaii. Music remained at the center of her life and she sang joyfully and often, especially to her son Sebastian. Cait's other passion was animals. She wanted to be a zoo keeper and work with large cats. In pursuit of this goal she did internships and volunteered at the Hawaii Zoo, the Red River Zoo in Fargo, ND and the Minnesota Wildcat Sanctuary where she had to help reconstruct large cat enclosures after a heavy snowfall had made them collapse. She was a survivor of brain cancer, which was diagnosed in 2007. She was a natural mother, putting as much effort into caring for her birth family as caring for her own child. In 2009 she applied to North Dakota State University so she could live with and care for her grandfather after her grandmother was placed in a nursing home. Her greatest love was her son Sebastian Lockhart Garcia born on Father's Day 2015. At the time of her death she was working at her son's day care center so she could earn a living and remain close to him. There were many things that Cait did not get to do in this life-travel, become a zookeeper, and see her son grow. The pain of her absence will last forever. Caitlin will be interred at Olds, Alberta, Canada in the same cemetery as her great grandparents, grandparents and many other relatives. It was her wish. Caitlin is survived by her parents, her brothers Nicolas and Alex Jensen, her partner Luis Garcia, his sons Xavier and Johan, and her beloved son Sebastian. A graveside service at the Olds Cemetery will be held October 17, 2016 @ 10:00 am with
